International Shipping Policy
We're pleased to advise that we ship internationally to the following countries as standard:
- UK inc. Northern Ireland
- Australia (Mainland)
- Canada
- Switzerland
If you are based outside of the UK and not in the above list of countries, we can still ship to you but you'll need to email us directly for a quotation at info@masons-homeware.co.uk.
IMPORTANT: As of 24th August 2025, we have had to temporarily pause US shipments due to the new rules coming into place on 29th August. Royal Mail have temporarily suspended shipments. We will hopefully be back soon once Royal Mail have an infrastructure in place.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. How are prices calculated?
Prices outside of the UK are based solely on weight. Typically, the larger the weight of your order, the more expensive the shipping will be. Tracked options can usually be cheaper than Economy choices.
2. Will I have to pay taxes/duties?
EU Customers: Since Brexit, the UK is no longer part of the EU, so orders sent to European countries may be subject to customs charges, import VAT, and handling fees once they arrive in your country. The exact amount depends on the commodity codes and value of your order, which are assessed by your local customs authority. While we can’t advise on exact costs, we're happy to share the commodity codes for your items if you'd like to research fees in advance.
If you choose not to pay the import fees and your parcel is returned to us, please note that original shipping charges will not be refunded, as this information is clearly outlined on our website and in your order confirmation email.
US Customers: As of May 12th 2025, orders may be subject to additional customs duties due to recent U.S. tariff changes on goods manufactured in China. These fees are set by U.S. Customs and may vary - in some cases, they could be up to 55% of your order value, depending on the product type.
Unfortunately, these charges are beyond our control, but we’re always here to help with commodity code info or order details if you’d like to check before purchasing. Thank you so much for your understanding and continued support.
3. What's the lead time on shipping outside of the UK?
Typically, Economy Shipping is between 15-80 days throughout the world, however Standard/Tracked Shipping has a lead time of 6-7 business days. This is exclusive of any hold-ups whilst the goods are checked at customs.
4. I've ordered a pre-order/personalised product. Are the rules different?
Shipping wise it's exactly the same, but these type of products do incur a longer lead time. Personalised products usually take 3-4 days for dispatch, whereas pre-orders can take up to 14 days for dispatch - information on up-to-date lead times is available within each product description.
5. I want to return my product/my product is faulty?
If you want to return your product because you've changed your mind, that's absolutely fine but you would be responsible of any return shipping cost, and the duties fee would be deducted from your refund. If the product was faulty, then we would preferably offer a full refund, but are happy to provide a replacement product should you wish - in this instance, if you are required to pay further duties on the replacement, please send us the receipt for payment, and we will reimburse you (when agreed to prior).
